Although they list them for the Sammy, the last I called they are back ordered and have never been produced. This was many months ago though and through a distributor on Pirate.

Up date. I just saw them offered at TT so I guess the are for real now for the Sammy.

Interesting too, the first pictures I saw of these only had one pin design. The ones pictured on TT have 3 pin like the lockright. The springs and small 4 pins are different.

Time will tell.

seems like a fair price form TT if these things hold up but since they are new probably not going to be a lot of trail rated feed back.I think I will pick one up with tax money and give it a shot.

I'm looking forward to hearing what people think too.. Has Spartan been around for a while and just made them available for the Samurai axles or is it a new company?

What's so different of the spartan and the powertrax or the detroit that would cause it to act/perform any different?

Looks same design to me just different brand name and way the install the pins and springs.

At least the bus is short, so you don't have a long walk.

I have a spartan locker and am goin to install it tomorrow since my samurai is down for a minute. I had to install a new fuel pump and i have my front axle taken apart to swap knuckles out due to 5 sheared off studs. Toy front axle obviously. So i pulled the 3rd to attempt to install the locker.

Differences=
These don't use OEM thrust washers.
Made of 9310.
The pins are larger than other units.
There are only 4 springs and they fit inside the pins.
You assemble the entire driver assembly and then slip it in place and pull the release pins (See the side holes?) to release the springs.

Installation was easy. After i broke 2 punches trying to get the roll pin out that holds the center pin in.

Ok. Now the million dollar question is, "Are they more user friendly than the other lockers?"
